● About us
A friendly way out of the house, and into the community
Too many people in Thanet spend days on their own. Disability, poor health, cost and transport all get in the way of a normal social life. We give people a reason to get out, have a laugh, try something new and make friends.
We started in 2023 as an unregistered charity, and on 23 September 2026 we registered as a charitable incorporated organisation (charity no. 1219772). The charity continues the same work.
We are a disability-led charity: two of our three trustees live with long-term health conditions themselves, so we understand the barriers our participants face.
What we aim to do
✓Reduce loneliness and isolation
✓Make it easy to take part in supportive, well-run activities
✓Break down barriers to learning and trying new things
✓Improve health, fitness and mental well-being
✓Keep costs low, with free places for people who can’t pay
Adults with learning disabilities
About half of our participants are adults with learning and behavioural disabilities.
Young adults
(18–24)
Young adults with SEN, including many not in education, work or training.
Older people
Older people with long-term health conditions who have become isolated.
Carers and families
Parents, carers and support workers are welcome to come along too.
● Our activities
Three groups, one welcoming team
Our programme is shaped by what participants tell us. When we surveyed 110 participants, 64% picked go-karting and 55% picked bowling, and most wanted weekend afternoons.

● Our impact
2025-26 in numbers
Bars for trips and activities show the number of events. We have 120 people on low incomes on our waiting list.
| Year | People supported | Income | Spent |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024-25 | 1,270 | £14,728 | £14,747 |
| 2025-26 | 1,266 | £30,000 | £27,436 |
Almost all of our income comes from local donations and fundraising activities, showing strong community support for our charity and its activities.
“I wouldn’t normally have thought about trying archery, but coming along has given me the chance to have a go and meet other people. Before taking part, I could spend a lot of time at home and didn’t always have much reason to get out. The archery sessions have helped me feel less isolated. It’s good to get out, have a laugh and feel part of something.”
Vincent, archery participant
